I bought some of these today. I’ve long been a fan of the classic peppermint style Ice Breakers mints in a tin like this. I got the purple one in the back there. The flavors are Berry Splash, Strawberry, and Raspberry Lemonade. The Berry Splash is just superb, the Strawberry is good as well, starting to get toward the sour side, then the Raspberry Lemonade is the most sour, which really isn’t too powerful, just sour enough and rather tasty.
I am sitting here eating these right now, and I’m remembering that when I eat sour things, my face gets hot. I’ve asked around, I’m the only person I know to whom that happens. I had to get up and get a tall glass of cold water to accompany these mildly sour candies. Neat huh?
So at work (display crew at Blvd Home Furnishings), I get 2-3 great ideas about what I should throw on this here blog later in the day. Now, due to numerous face plants while wakeboarding, including a couple minor concussions, I seem to have a weak short term memory. By the time I get home, the ol’ brain winds down and doesn’t recall what it was thinking earlier on in the day.
I’ve know of people jotting down little notes to trigger their memories later on that day. Perhaps I will try that out. Not that anything I have to say is all that important, but it would help me to update this site more regularly, which is something I’d like to do.
This is about the most exciting post ever, so I’ll throw in a couple cool links:
1 – What a Honda feels like (Commercial).
2 – You just got owned. You can throw any name (one or two names, a period for each name) in front of the justgotowned.com part, pretty swell stuff.

So, this site is obviously not on Drupal anymore. I switched to WordPress 2.0. I figured that Drupal was a bit much for how I’m using this site. This has turned out to be a not-so-regularly-updated blog, and Drupal is much more powerful than I needed. Themes were another issue. To create a theme in WordPress, you simply need to know some CSS and HTML; Drupal requires a bit more programming knowledge, and while I could learn to work with it, I am far too lazy to do so.
Soon I hope to have a neat little design on this site and some more regular posts. We’ll see.

I just spent over two hours manually transferring all of my content to WordPress from Drupal. As soon as I finished, I went to the home page, and everything is set to the default WordPress installation. My head is about to explode right now. I believe what happened is that I clicked the back button within another Firefox tab where I had installed WordPress through Fantastico (I only use it because I’m getting free hosting and damn it all, I can’t make new databases outside of Fantastico).
So, I’m going to stop for the day. Tomorrow should see most of the content back up. I’m rather upset right now.

This past weekend I went on my first ever snowmobiling trip. I went with the young men in my ward. There were three boys and three of us adults. One of the boys has a Grandpa with a cabin up past Brianhead resort here in Southern Utah. This wasn’t just your normal cabin in the woods. This was a three story, four bedroom, mini-mansion. I slept better there than I do in my own bed. The master bedroom had a king bed and a jetted jacuzzi tub. The other three bedrooms had queen beds. But enough about the cabin.
He also had three nice snowmobiles. I don’t know much about the specs on them, but the speedometers went up to 120 mph. I don’t know if they can go that fast, but they sure were powerful. The first time I set off on one, I almost fell off when I squeezed the throttle. When I pegged it down, the thing took off like a bat out of hell. I couldn’t believe how fast they went on the dry powdery snow that we get here in Utah.
There wasn’t much snow, only 1-3 feet, which I think was good. If there had been deeper snow, I’m sure we all would have gotten the snowmobiles stuck. After a bit of cruising around, we found a nice open meadow where we could have some fun. We ended up riding tandem, with the passenger standing, then at speeds of around 30 mph, jumping off into the fresh powder and sliding a good 15 feet. That was pretty fun. We did other things including high speed runs, the fastest I went was 50 mph, which felt pretty stinking fast on a snowmobile.
It was tricky getting the feel for the machines. The turning was delayed a bit and I found it pretty tricky to manipulate the weight of the snowmobiles. It was a fun trip for a weekend. I’m sure I won’t get real into snowmobiling, but they do make for a fun weekend in the snow.

I love me some naps. I’ve never been a power napper. I think I’ve successfully had one or two power naps, where I just happened to wake up 10 minutes after going under and finding myself refreshed.
My usual nap is 2 hours in length. I’m a fan of sleep altogether, but the 2 hour nap is just wonderful. For instance, Sunday of this week was a good one. I came home from church, I was slightly chilly, so I got my king sized comforter and pillow, took them to my couch, put on my favorite hooded sweatshirt, got all cozied up, put the tube on football, and had a great nap.
Today was a bit different. I had tried to take a nap yesterday, only got about 45 minutes of sleep, and it didn’t do much for me. Tonight I laid down at about 7pm (I like naps any time of the day) and woke up about 3 hours later, only to go back to sleep for another hour. It’s now 1am and I’m feeling alright about going back to sleep. I just can’t get enough of the stuff.
